You Can’t Buy Maine! Yes on 1 WINS in Maine!

November 4, 2009

Victory in Maine!

Yes 289235 52.79%
No 258633 47.21%

With 94% reporting

After so much hard work, this was indeed a sweet victory. Thanks so much everyone for all your hard work and prayers! We were out spent, out manned, and many times out maneuvered, but never faithless!

Despite a very significant financial advantage and overwhelming liberal media bias for radical homosexual agenda, faith in marriage and traditional family prevailed.

As someone said last night “You Can’t Buy Maine!”

Amen to that.

Gay Activists + 4.5 million in donations + all around paid expenses for SF to move to Maine + Distorting Marriage = A win for Traditional Marriage. You can’t buy Maine!

By 5 pathetic percentage points. Oh well, give it a few more years as the older generation disappears and the younger generation rises. Can’t stop the inevitable.

Ross, by your logic the rising generation should have overtaken the ‘old fogeys’ by now. The problem is that idealistic youth whose brains are not yet seasoned with experience may eat up your sophistry, but experience is a better teacher. I am part of the younger generation who soundly rejects your doctrines as scientifically foolish and ethically dangerous to free people.

The reality is that the gay movement has not gained even a percentage point in polling data over the last five years. Wait, have people stopped aging? Have the old stopped dying? LOL. The growth of your movement is stagnant. Your arguments are old and refuted. The pendulum has swung. You can’t stop the inevitable Ross, and California and Maine are only the beginning.

I’ve been reading your tweets and I think it’s funny that you’re celebrating discrimination and the loss of civil rights.

Also, your “because every child deserves a mom and a dad” argument is so flawed it’s become quite the joke amoungst my friends.

You see, marriage doesn’t = children. Babies get made regardless of marriage. (if you need an explanation of how that works, let me know). Children deserve a loving home, a supportive family, encouragement and much more. But until it is a law that folks get married before they breed then your argument makes no sense whatsoever.

Now, if your goal is to ban sex entirely then perhaps I see where you might be coming from but that would make you completely insane, and I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Finally, I think it’s interesting that instead of giving children (we will assume we are talking about adoptable kids for a moment) a home that is safe and nurturing and loving and filled with a bright future, you would deny these kids a home unless it was a married straight couple. Very selfish, no?

Anyway, having babies has nothing to do with marriage, sweetie. In case you didn’t know, no matter how much two lesbians or two gay men bump uglies they won’t produce a baby. It’s all those out-of-wedlock STRAIGHT kids that are making that mess.

Continue celebrating your hatred. I highly doubt Jesus would approve of such uncompassionate behavior.

Laekin, how convenient for you to simply dismiss anyone who disagrees with you as a hater. Is that tolerance? Switch it around and see how that works for you.

If you are suggesting that the only solution to the problem of legal orphans in this nation is to set them up in motherless or fatherless homes, you’re sadly lacking in imagination. Why settle for sub-par when there are many happily married couples ready to receive them? The idea that gay people only want 13 and 15 year old “unadoptables” is a fallacy. I have personally seen first hand where children were given to gay couples to adopt even though several other families were waiting on those same children. Is that right?

By promoting the normalization of homosexuality you are in effect announcing to the world that a motherless or fatherless home is exactly the same as a home with both a mom and a dad. That’s not scientifically or biologically correct. Common sense confirms what science has told us all along. X and Y chromosomes are DIFFERENT, and gender matters.

How can you celebrate taking people’s rights away? You should be ashamed of yourself.

You and I have the exact same rights. Why should I be ashamed of that when you are not ashamed for trampling the rights of children?

By promoting the normalization of homosexuality, you support the idealization of motherless and fatherless homes. Kids don’t have a choice in who raises them. You would force them to live out your broken fantasies? Deprived of a mom or dad, not by death or tragedy, but on purpose? Just to satisfy your selfish desires? THAT is something to be ashamed of.

You got it girl…sooo right. You should look up the young woman who was raised by a homosexualfather.
The poor girl lived in fear most of her life. She had different homos coming into her home and changing things around and probably all harrassing her in some way. She is making the national circuit talking about it .. France has banned homos from raising children..! Wow this is from France who seems to be open about most things, but they are the only smart ones who know better.

Congratulations L. Marie! An excellent campaign, with much effort. Thanks for all you did to help get the information out. Marriage between a man and a woman is worth defending for the sake of society and our children.

Now we have a hate crimes law protecting homosexuals. In California, the gays viciously persecuted anyone who donated to Prop 8, in other states they went into churchs and threw condoms, they hassled a little old lady for daring to have an opposite belief to their own and now they want to publish the names of anyone who donated to the campaigns in Washington and Maine so they can be targeted for harassment. I think we see now who the real haters are.
